What's your 6th week impression of Bubbles Dive Resort?
You need a lot of coordination in order to operate a resort, even for a small resort like this. The effort that was put in this to make this place feel like paradise was remarkable.
I really like how together we are with work, like there's no hierarchy, everyone will always help out to make this resort better!
Even though groceries are super heavy, but I like the feeling of everyone coming out to carry stuff & we will hype each other up while doing it!
There's no age gap here, no matter how young or old you are you can still make conversation and even play together!
What did you gain throughout the program?
- Did not expect to make friends that I would keep for life, even grew closer to a friend that I known for years.
- I really do know myself even more, it's like unlocking levels of knowing myself.
- More comfortable in water! Before this program, I would never swim in the open sea. But now I'm also confident enough to swim without a life jacket or even a buoy. And I won't panic anymore if there's water in my mask or snorkel.
- Paid more attention towards our nature, now everytime I buy or use stuff I'll think of what this can cause or help with our environment.
What did you regret about the program?
A bit too shy to do things alone like snorkel alone or go for hikes. Actually the regrets are towards self regret . Not about the program, it's more on I think I should do more of this or maybe should do this instead of that. But that's life, we will spend our whole life to learn from our mistakes and become better next time.
What are your final thoughts and review of the program?
I come here not knowing what the future looks like. Just to escape from reality for a while. I really have no expectation. But here you get to talk to a lot of people from different industry, profession and country. Through these conversation, I made some connections. They even helped me open my eyes like what I can do in the future, there's a lot of opportunities out there, jobs or places that I never understand. Now I'm leaving with knowing things will be okay in the future, knowing there are still things that I can contribute to this community. And I never expect to find real friendship here, was prepared to come here alone and be alone but who knew I met people that I want to keep in life :) Everything is good, nothing negative that I can think of. Thank you for always making effort to turn this place to a paradise, and making us interns feel involved and taking really good care of us. Definitely gained a lot here and I hope I did help make a change here too :)
