  1. What's your first impression of Bubbles Dive Resort?

    Relaxing, breath taking scene, clean

  2. What's your 6th week impression of Bubbles Dive Resort?

After living here for 6 weeks, I really love this place. Bubbles is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and quiet. I'm sure everyone who stays here will feel the same. My first impression of Bubbles was from the art side. I felt a sense of calm, with its beautiful scenery and clean beach. Even now, these feelings haven't changed. The only difference is that after weeks, I've seen Bubbles from the inside, becoming a part of it.

Working at Bubbles, I can feel the positive energy. We always work together to solve problems rather than blame each other. Even when things get a bit chaotic, we still do our best to handle it. Despite working at different departments, we can all talk, laugh, and have fun together. Everyone here is simply and friendly, and I always feel like I am part of a big family. Beyond the people, I can also sense the energy Bubbles gives to its customers. Bubbles uses eco-friendly products, maintains a balance between human and nature, and treats every customer with care. I don't think other resorts focus on creating this kind of atmosphere.

  3. What did you gain throughout the program?

The most obvious change is that I have become more confident in speaking English. In the past, I only spoke English during speaking tests and never applied it in my daily life. Although my English isn't perfect, it is now good enough for communication, and that is a huge achievement for me. I am really happy I have made progress here.

Next is my problem solving skills. I used to be a very nervous person, and when something went wrong, I would panic, which often made things worse. Here, I've learned not to panic when facing problems. We focus on solving the issue first and then review it later to learn from the mistakes, we can work together to fix them, and no one will blame me. I love this vibe - it really helped me grow!

I also feel that making friends is a gain from this program, LOL! I am happy to have met people from different age groups, which is something I have never experienced before. Through them, I've seen different life attitudes and plans. I have realized that everyone has their own path, their own life, and their own unique experiences. I am glad I met them, and I believe it's fate. I really hope we can stay in touch.

Another important lesson I've learned is the value of teamwork. Teamwork can make things easier. We can always communicate well and solve the issues together. I now understand how each person impacts the team. No one can do everything alone and everyone's contribution matter. Even one person bringing a negative attitude to work can affect everyone else.

After coming here, I have become even more aware of who I am who I want to be, as well as recognizing my weaknesses. But I'm okay with not being perfect at everything. After being here, I've realized that there's nothing to fear. If I try and make mistakes, no one will blame me. A lot of things are easier than they look like once you actually do them. I really love the vibe here.

  4. What did you regret about the program?

One small regret is that I couldn't stay for the full three months. Another thing is that I won't get to help with the off season clean up. I was actually quite curious to see what Bubbles is like during the off season. I feel like it would have been a great way to wrap up this experience for me. Also, I didn't get any photos of my dive haha!

  5. What are your final thoughts and review of the program?

I feel very fortunate to be part of this program. I've never been away from home this long and wasn't interested in diving. The experience here has exceeded my expectations. Besides learning to swim and dive, I am amazed at how well I adapted to the environment. On the first day, I was scared by how different everything was - the living conditions, mostly Malay colleagues, and foreign guests. I had to learn how to communicate with everyone, and I'm happy on how much more confident when speaking with non-chinese speaker, even if my English is not perfect. It is a significant personal achievement. Every moment here, even the challenges, has been a unique part of my journey. I will miss this place and will definitely return one day.
